Frequently asked questions
Yes! There are limited tickets per trip – therefore our tours can sell out! (Not to worry – they are never overcrowded). We recommend to book as far in advance as you can to ensure your desired day and time! You can make last minute bookings – to do so please call us on 13004 WHALES or book online

The cruise Duration is 2hrs, we have the advantage of a fast boat that will get us to the Whales faster! Meaning less Travel time and more Whale time!

Our tours operate on Adventure, a custom-built vessel designed for whale watching in Sydney conditions. Built for speed, stability, and manoeuvrability, Adventure offers a smooth, comfortable ride with minimal environmental impact. The vessel features a low profile, giving passengers 360° views and eye-level encounters with humpback whales and other wildlife.

On our whale watching tours we advise to have something warm to wear as well as a spray or windproof jacket. It will often feel colder at sea, so please ensure that you dress according to the weather!

Extra things we would recommend to bring:

  • Hat or Beanie
  • Appropriate weather jacket or jumper
  • Appropriate footwear (we advise no open style shoes onboard our vessel)
  • Drinking water + light snacks
  • Camera

Every single day out on the water is different due to forever changing weather, wind and swell conditions! If you are unsure or want an update of the current conditions, don’t hesitate to give us a call!

Yes! You are not required to wear lifejackets on board our vessel – our crew will demonstrate how to use these lifejackets in case of emergency during our safety briefing.

Yes we do! If this is something you are interested in please call the office on 13004 WHALES or send an email to cruise@sydneywhalewhisperer.com.au

We reserve the right to cancel our cruises if we determine that the sea conditions pose a risk to our guests or are exceedingly unsuitable to cruise upon. We will make every effort to provide you with as much notice as we can by monitoring sea conditions and forecasts to prevent any disruption. Forecasts, however, are not always reliable, and sea conditions can alter suddenly. Please give us a call the day before you depart if you have any questions regarding the circumstances or if you will be travelling a distance. Should we have to cancel a cruise, you will be able to reschedule your reservation for a different day (based on availability)

Compared to other whale watching vessels, Eco1 is a low profile style vessel and does not rock aggressively which significantly lowers the risk of sea sickness. Please be mindful that continual motion is anticipated, dependent upon the state of the sea.

Please notify our staff in advance so that we can make plans for you to be seated towards the back of the ship. If you know you are sensitive or prone to being sea sick we advise that you think about adopting some safety measures and speak to your local pharmacist.

Unfortunately, our Vessel is not Wheelchair accessible, there is a small step to enter and exit the vessel.
